Claims

1. A mesh netting guard that prevents children from throwing objects from the highchair to the floor. A mesh netting is a universal attachment to any high chair. Plastic rods, which are FDA approved for food use, are used to support the mesh in three areas of the mesh for stability. A lower extension of the rod is used to support and conform to the lower portion of the tray. Clips are used to attach the rods to the high chair tray. The rods extend under and along the sides of the tray (fan position of FIG. 2). And further each panel rod is removable for easy cleaning and travel use.

2. A mesh guard for use on a child's high chair having a tray, comprising: a washable netting; support rods mounted on said high chair for suspending said netting adjacent to said tray, said support rods being detachable and positioned to locate said netting to prevent a child from throwing objects from the tray onto the floor.

3. The mesh guard of claim 2 wherein said support rods are positioned to locate said netting to the sides of said tray.

4. The mesh guard of claim 3 wherein said support rods are positioned to locate said netting in a vertical position on each side of said tray.

Description

[0001] Don't Drop It relates in general design to assist parents while a child is seated in high chair to keep objects, such as toys, on the tray in front of the child by preventing objects to be thrown to the ground. As a parent of two girls, I came up with the idea from personal experience. Not only does this allow the child to be entertained for longer periods, it also creates a safe environment for the child by eliminating the child leaning over and looking for lost objects on the ground.

[0002] Don't Drop It consist of three major components: [0003] Vinyl mesh Netting, which is washable and coated for durable wear [0004] Plastic Rods, which are FDA approved and bend slightly to conform to high chair [0005] Clips fasten the unit to any highchair, or Velcro may be used

[0006] The product is fitted for the sides of the highchair using a three panel design, and can adjust for proper placement. Kids love to throw toys to the ground, which means picking them up over and over again. Don't Drop It prevents children from throwing toys off to the ground and let's parents have more time to complete task. In addition, the said invention aids in the safety of the child, as they are not leaning over the chair looking for lost objects, such as toys on the ground.

[0007] As is known, it is desirable to create a safe environment for the child to play in a highchair and keep toys on the tray. Furthermore, the said invention eliminates wasted time for parents retrieving objects, such as toys for the child, which in turn task can be completed in a more timely fashion for the parent allotting valuable time lost between child and family.
